Marie Takahashi

Après ses études et carrière en musique classique au Japon, en France et en Allemagne, Marie Takahashi s’installe à Berlin où elle commence des activités originales comprenant improvisations, compositions et collaborations avec des artistes de multiples disciplines. Elle a  travaillé avec de nombreux artistes internationaux comme Tristan Honsinger, Axel Dörner, Cedrik Fermont, Sylvia Hinz, Burkhard Beins, Toshimaru Nakamura, Antonio Borghini, Joel Grip… Ses compositions expérimentales utilisent entre autres des formes, des  nombres et des techniques de calligraphie. Elle s’intéresse aux possibilités de l’instrument acoustique sans préparation ni effets électroniques, créant de vifs contrastes entre des éléments à la fois abstraits, minimaux et très expressifs.

After studying and pursuing a career in classical music in Japan, France, and Germany, Marie Takahashi moved to Berlin, where she began original activities including improvisation, composition, and collaborations with artists from multiple disciplines. She has worked with numerous international artists such as Tristan Honsinger, Axel Dörner, Cedrik Fermont, Sylvia Hinz, Burkhard Beins, Toshimaru Nakamura, Antonio Borghini, Joel Grip, and others. Her experimental compositions use forms, numbers, and calligraphy techniques, among other things. She is interested in the possibilities of acoustic instruments without preparation or electronic effects, creating vivid contrasts between elements that are at once abstract, minimal, and highly expressive.
