Dominic Lash

Dominic Lash (né le 18 janvier 1980 à Cambridge, Angleterre) est un contrebassiste et théoricien du cinéma basé à Bristol.Il était auparavant une figure centrale du collectif de musiciens Oxford Improvisers. Parmi ses importants collaborateurs musicaux de longue date figurent Angharad Davies, Bruno Guastalla, Alexander Hawkins, Tim Hill, Steve Noble, Samantha Rebello, Pat Thomas, Philipp Wachsmann et Alex Ward.  Il s'est également produit avec les saxophonistes John Butcher et Evan Parker et le violoniste Tony Conrad. Il a récemment effectué une tournée au Royaume-Uni avec le guitariste américain Joe Morris, le batteur australien Tony Buck (du groupe The Necks) et le saxophoniste Tony Bevan. Il a participé à de nombreux festivals, dont le Manchester Jazz Festival (avec le Grew Quartet), l'Akbank Jazz Festival (Istanbul) et le Tampere Jazz Happening.

En tant que théoricien du cinéma, il a écrit le livre The Cinema of Disorientation :Inviting Confusions, publié par Edinburgh University Press en 2020.
